Food and service excellent. Beware the new menu prices are twice the amount listed on the pictures posted here on Yelp photos.
I've gotta say, sometimes you just want your breakfast to be breakfast. My eggs to be eggs and my chicken fried steak to be chicken fried steak. No bells or whistles.
I got a great breakfast at a good price. Nice Asian waitress was just amazing. Sweet and fun.
With Fox News on the tv and a predominantly senior crowd..... well.... draw your own conclusion. Yet it was nice.
You could tell that these customers are here often and the waitress knew them by name. That is always a good sign.
It was nice. The food was good. I'd come again.
Terrible service, overpriced mediocre food and an extremely arrogant Asian owner, she dont need my business. I've eaten here many times but the past 3-4 over the past year or so were so less than satisfying that I doubt Ill go back.
I feel like this is a local "secret" tucked inside the bowling alley. We've never had to wait for seating and the staff here are really nice.
They serve fresh veggies to snack on while you wait and they have THE BEST chicken fried steak in Newhall. It's on their breakfast menu served with eggs any style and choice of bread (I usually get the biscuits to mop up the extra gravy, like true biscuits and gravy), but they also have this on their dinner menu served with mashed potatoes and veggies. I also recommend their pork chops, my kiddos approve and they can be picky eaters sometimes.
So, when I first walked in, I wasnt too sure I was going to like the place. As soon as I sat down three members of the staff came by one after another and asked if we were ready to order. Like, come on, let me look at the menus first. In addition, they are really small, crowded, and do not have their own bathroom, instead sharing it with the bowling alley.
Okay so that's the bad side, however, I quickly fell in love with the place. They are small but have lots of seating and make the most of it, and plus they're really cozy.
They have amazingly delicious food, and their drinks are okay too. The staff is extremely friendly! In all honesty, I cant imagine that I won't be back. And I have to highly recommend that you make a stop here at Lily's.
